Tips to get the very best Brunswick area vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides have coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Make a plan and choose the perfect Brunswick area vacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Pelican Watch - Steps away from a beautiful beach in a prime location by RedAwning has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
