Tricks and tips to get the best Brunswick area vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. Booking your Brunswick area vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose a group leader, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. NEW LISTING! Dragonfly Daze (1-Bedroom Villa) by RedAwning has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Brunswick area destination you long to visit, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

During your stay:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
