Ocean Isle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Brunswick area area. To book the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing the perfect Brunswick area vacation home:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Monkey Sea, Monkey Dune ~ Top floor, End unit; Sound and Ocean view has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Does your family require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Speak to the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
