How to find the best Bald Head Island rental experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Brunswick area area. To get the best value, change your family's Brunswick area vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the perfect rental in Bald Head Island:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Home that makes you feel like you are on an Island at the \"End of the World\" has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation group.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area attraction you long to visit, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or might be applied to your agreement.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
