Tips to get the optimal Brunswick area vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Brunswick area area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and picking the perfect Brunswick area rental home:

  • First and foremost, have your family select trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Fantastic Water Views, Pool, Hot Tub, Outdoor Kitchen, Fishing Dock, Waterfront Updated Home, DogsOK has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches. See for yourself by scanning the QR code and call Victory Beach Vacations at 910.458.0868 to book your Cape Fear getaway. Start making your memories today! —Grace Silipigni
