“Good Ole Waves” is by far the most darling bungalow on Carolina Beach. It was constructed in the 1930’s and has striking cedar siding. This bungalow combines all the necessary elements for a comfortable, heartwarming stay from the inside to the front porch, screened in porch, and back deck.

When you enter the property, you make your way through the cozy living area with hearty wood floors and whitewashed walls. As you make your way towards the kitchen, you pass the Queen bedroom and Full bedroom. There is also a Twin daybed and the couch in the living room will pull out to sleep two! There is access to the main floor bathroom with a attractively tiled stand-up shower from the hallway. The kitchen has all the essentials including a sizable utility sink to prepare dinner for family or friends. Once dinner is prepared, there is a massive dining table to eat and socialize around.

On the upper level, you will find the primary bedroom with a King bed and en suite bathroom. The primary bedroom is cavernous with splendid ocean vistas. In the primary bathroom, you will find a clawfoot tub that is ideal for soaking in on a calming evening.

The ground floor homes the laundry facility as well as another full bathroom. The closest beach access is Oyster Shell Public access across the street.

Don't miss a spectacular sunrise, the impressive donuts at Britt's, watching for playful dolphins, Thursday nighttime fireworks on the beach or the Farmer's Market at the Lake. You'll want to immerse yourself in the myriad of activities offered on Pleasure Island. If it rains, head down south the the Fort Fisher Aquarium, or check out the historical site. Maybe you want to take a ferry ride over to Southport for the day, or perhaps go hiking in the maritime forest of Carolina Beach State Park. Getting the best Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer time is high season in Carolina Beach. To get the best value, consider changing your family's Brunswick area vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the perfect rental home in Carolina Beach:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Darling 1930s cottage across from ocean! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, email the host before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your group.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
