Tricks and tips to get the perfect Brunswick area rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Wrightsville Beach. Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning and picking yourrental:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Comfortable sound-front duplex near Crystal Pier! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
