Getting the best Brunswick area vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Brunswick area rental home:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking your Brunswick area vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to choose the best vacation home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Cutest Cottage Steps from the Beach - All Linens and Towels Provided! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the host before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

More tips for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Record any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
