Booking the best rental experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • To find the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and choose the rightvacation home:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Charming Condo in Historic Downtown Building has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation group.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the host immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
