Tricks and tips for getting the best Carolina Beach rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Brunswick area area. To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Brunswick area restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Brunswick area area visitor guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking the rightrental home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Beach Cottage, Walk to Beach, Sleeps 6, Dogs Ok! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a specific Brunswick area destination you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a great time? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
