Tricks and tips for getting the best vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer time is high season in the Brunswick area area. To get the best value, try changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Brunswick area area visitor guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Finding the best rental home in the Brunswick area area:

  • Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Aqua Bella Upper - cute old school beach apartment in downtown CB has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, email the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Tips for a smooth stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • During arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
