Strategies to get the very best Brunswick area rental home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Brunswick area vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Brunswick area area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Narrow your Search:
- First and foremost, have your group decide on vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. All new 2BR 1BA w\/ King bed-Fast Wi-Fi 75\" OLED TV - 15 minute walk to Riverwalk has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your invoice.
Have a great stay:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
