Tricks and tips to get the optimal Brunswick area vacation property experience:

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Brunswick area area. To book the largest rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Brunswick area restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Brunswick area area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfectvacation home:

  • Choose a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. \"New Horizons\" A magical setting with ocean and marsh views! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • Does your family require special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
