Strategies to get the optimal rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Brunswick area area. To get the best value, consider changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. A bike ride from the beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your trip.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
