Our top Rental booking tips:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Wilmington. To book the most suitable vacation home within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Brunswick area restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain deals for local shops and restaurants.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • To start, have your group choose the best dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. 3 BR Downtown Bungalow, walkable to the riverfront, restaurants and retail has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If not, email the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area attraction you love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.

More considerations:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • At Check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
